Karrin "Cliff" Dalton
Karrin's musical roots began, of all things, with country music. Living in Fayetteville, NC, she played in her first professional band, around country bars, during her high school years. Moving from North Carolina to New York to study music, Karrin quickly became involved with a 17 piece big band and an all female original rockabilly band Rebel Angels. They became quite well known as well as largely popular in the region. Rebel Angels also became the backing band for the famed Jive Five Doo-Wop group which toured around NY, NJ, PA, and MA. She played at great venues such as Westbury Music Fair and Radio City Music Hall. Soon she moved into two more original bands - Em Zale and Ivory Tower - both in the 80's rock style. She and a partner opened up a rehearsal/ recording studio that housed many well known local bands as well as Taylor Dayne, Joan Jett, and Dee Snyder of Twisted Sister. Surfing Samarai Robots was the last original hard rock band Karrin was in before moving back to North Carolina. Events then led her to Central America for a few years where Karrin continued to play live music events.
Eventually Karrin ended up in Raleigh where she has played with bands as Mess A Blues, Buster Groove, Hip Sauce and The Rendevouz. Joining High Voltage in their reformation, which then became Thunderstruck, Karrin has been holding down the beat ever since and loving every minute of it.
